The Council of Erion
The Council of Erion is the body of scholars that meets every five years to formally publish records of historical events that have happened since the last Council. They also present any other findings from years past; the Council places a heavy emphasis on archaeology. They are also the body that decides the names of each Age. The original Council met in 211 BeA and consisted entirely of dragons, as most of the other humanoid races were still quite primitive. As the other races became more civilized, they elected scholars to join the Council. By the beginning of the Baradian Age, almost every intelligent species had at least one seat in the Council.
